Close encounters with the Brapido

Also in 2023 the Punta Verde Zoo Park in Lignano Sabbiadoro proposes a very special close encounter, the one with the sloth.

Starting from 13 June and until 28 September you will be able to meet Brady, our slow but determined female sloth. The meetings will be held on the following days: Tuesday and Thursday at 16.00 and Wednesday at 12.00.

Entry is allowed to a maximum of 2 people at the same time accompanied by an educator from the Park's educational department who will illustrate the main biological characteristics of this incredible species and the environment in which it lives, in order to understand the survival strategies and its known slowness. Some food enrichments will be positioned which will allow you to observe how skillfully and delicately Brady manages to reach the food.

In full respect of the animals, participants will be able to be approached by this incredible animal and it will be an opportunity to observe it from a privileged point of view, thus contributing to the in situ conservation of all animals threatened with extinction.

• Minimum age: 8 years
• Clothing: the use of closed shoes is recommended
• It is forbidden to touch the animal
• For logistical and safety reasons it is not possible to access with wheelchairs

Close encounters with sloths have an additional cost of €15.00 per person, which is entirely donated to research and conservation projects in nature.
