The inhabited centre of Lignano Sabbiadoro can be divided into 3 different areas, each with its own peculiarities:
- SABBIADORO is the heart of Lignano, a large beach with 19 beach offices, umbrellas, gazebos, fitness areas directly on the sand. Sabbiadoro is the city that thrives on restaurants, pizzerias, open-air bars and a 5 km pedestrian promenade for shopping.
- PINETA is the small centre in the shade of gardens, avenues and streets designed to enclose the tranquillity of living, the liveliness of shops and trendy clubs and 7 beach offices.
- RIVIERA is the quietest and most peaceful area, where hotels and houses are immersed in the greenery of the vegetation and in the unmistakable scent of the pine forest that reaches down to the sea with 6 beach offices.
Lignano Sabbiadoro
The beach of Lignano Sabbiadoro, long and spacious, lends itself well to the organization of many daytime activities and evening events: the day passes between a water aerobics lesson and a sunbath, a snack in one of the kiosks on the beach and an aperitif barefoot.
The Sabbiadoro area, considered the historic core of the seaside resort, is characterized by the long central avenue, recently renovated and intended for pedestrian use only, which houses the clothing windows of the most famous brands, modern nightclubs and characteristic wine bars, as well as to ice cream parlours and game rooms for the entertainment of the little ones.
Piazza Fontana is the central meeting point of Lignano Sabbiadoro, surrounded by numerous bars and ice cream parlours.
At sunset in Sabbiadoro you will find restaurants and American bars, shops open until late in the evening and the Terrazza a Mare, with its cocktails and lots of music.
On the easternmost tip of Lignano Sabbiadoro, there is an old red lighthouse, recently restored and constantly frequented by fishermen.
The red lighthouse is located at the end of a long wooden walkway, it's not very big but it has been fitted with solar panels. From here the panorama extends from inside the Marano Lagoon to the Adriatic Sea.
Lignano Pineta
Lignano Pineta, famous for its spiral-shaped urban plan surrounded by greenery, has been able to preserve a truly exclusive atmosphere.
The long beach, already active in the early hours of the morning, offers many opportunities to get together and have fun: between a windsurfing course and a swimming course, between a canoe ride and a pedal boat ride, with entertainment for children, water aerobics and group dances.
The jetty with the "La Pagoda" bar awaits you for a walk on the water and to experience the thrill of the Parasail or have fun on the water games.
Of the nine bathing establishments in Lignano Pineta, equipped with bars and cutting-edge services, seven are connected to each other by a suggestive elevated walkway, with a panoramic view of the beach of Lignano Pineta and the sea.
The center of Pineta is articulated along the "train", which crosses the green spiral and is the ideal place for shopping and for meetings in the places that symbolize the nightlife of Lignano, such as the Tenda bar, a historic meeting place for all young people on vacation. After a day spent on the beach, don't miss the musical aperitifs and live music waiting for you in the beach bars and downtown bars.
Lignano Riviera
The beach of Lignano Riviera is divided into six bathing establishments, each with its own beach bar and has about 3000 widely spaced umbrellas.
The offer is completed by lively play areas for children, pedal boat rental, swimming school, sailing school and palm trees that decorate the entrances to the bathing establishments.
Days on the beach in Lignano Riviera are enriched by a varied free entertainment programme. For children, the Mini Club hours range from baby dance to creative workshops, from sand castles to team games.
