Bike&Hike is an increasingly widespread practice which consists of reaching a destination by bike, and then continuing with an excursion by feet. A formula that allows you to better discover the natural environment of the peninsula, among pine forests, fossil dunes and the mouth of the Tagliamento river.

EXCURSION DETAILS

Departure from the Beach Village (Beach Office n. 7 - Lignano Sabbiadoro) at 3.00 pm, stop along the road in the BellaItalia cycle path to admire the only consolidated dunes still present in Lignano, then proceed towards Lignano Riviera through the green corridors inside the pine forest. Once you reach the viale Tagliamento area, leave your bicycles for a short trek inside the Pineda Sinistra dune forest (FVG forest walker itinerary) which has a very high environmental, historical and landscape value: the dunes present inside reach a height of six meters! The topsoil is made up of a mixture of very rich environments of extreme ecological, floristic and landscape value.

After walking under the shade of the pines, you take your bikes back and return to the Beach Village around 6.00 pm.

The route includes about 12 km by bike and 3 km on foot.

The excursion takes place from June to mid-September every Wednesday.
